What has happened to this Nation? Each year we have become more and more seduced by the commercialization of our Holidays. We are being led around like a pig on a leash. Just because the greed for profit has overcome the board rooms and stock holders, why are we starting to act like them.

Every stinking time I see a commercial or see some TV personality expressing the need for shopping and the expectations of the retail and manufacturing sectors of our Country, I wonder why is it up to us. Why are we being put on notice, we did not tell anyone to leverage their companies to the brink of disaster.

I am a conservative and believe in the free enterprise that we practiced back when we had blue laws and mom and pop companies. This is not a punch at America, it is a slap at the face of American materialism and greed that is controlling the mindset of our Nation.

Do we not notice that there are as much or almost as much  commercials during a  30 minute or hour show as the show itself?

Do we not see the manipulating of the American working class. It is the working class of America that is being used to build others wealth and luxurious lifestyles while they toil and skimp to make a living.

When did it become the norm:

Movie Stars are like little gods. They are treated like heroes and special citizens, as they enjoy the  lifestyle of kings and queens, and what do they do to deserve it? Most of them have no morals, no values, and despise this country. So, to help them live like kings and queens, we buy magazines about them, we watch TV shows for them, we go to the movies for them, and we slobber like children over them.

Sports celebrities? What is that. When did someone batting a little ball around, bouncing a bigger ball up and down, or chasing a oblong pigskin around become a celebrity? Is it because they went to college, what about the school teacher? Is it because they are highly skilled personal and work so much harder, then what about the police officer or fireman? When did it become alright to pay hundreds of dollars to go to a park or coliseum that was subsidized by the taxpayers and call that enjoyment.

I do not get it!
