I am really ashamed and at the same time disgusted. All it took was ten minutes of going through some emails and a couple of news sites and I pulled up the information you see in the headlines below. This is just a quick look into the destruction happening in our country. What am I doing about it, nothing, nothing, and this is inexcusable. 

I think I am finally seeing God’s choice for me in this matter and there is really only one alternative, and that is, me standing up in Christ and doing something about it. I am through with the days of complaining and crying and instead of pointing fingers and blaming others; I am going to do something about it. 

Will you join me? Are you sick of it? Are you tired of hearing the lying commercials and lying mainstream news sites? We do not have to settle for this crap anymore. I am a Christian and this Nation is watched over by my Christian God and my God is not pleased with America or with me. 

So I must start now: This will be a growing list, but it will be one that is real. This will be a list of actions instead of whining and pointing fingers! We shall call it the,

 

ACTION LIST

 

  1. First, a box that contains what I am going to do with my lips, my eyes, and my hands. If you will join me, then get you a box and write down what you are going to do. Send it in an email to the ones that need to see it, like the news networks, etc….

“Sick of this Crap Box”

 

In this box I write down what I am not accepting anymore. This is just a few; more can and will be added.

  • Shows on TV with sexual, political, or gay connotations. This probably cuts out 175 of the 200 or whatever channels on cable and satellite. Let me see, if I stop watching and others stop watching, who will pay for these shows?
  • Shows including sports that have people getting paid more than the policeman, fireman, teacher, or school counselor. Does this mean college coaches? Well, I guess I will just have to go local to get sports if I need it that bad.
  • Politicians who lie to get into office. Politicians who talk like they are using the government’s money and act like we should accept whatever they tell us. I am going to let them know that they work for the people by protesting if that is needed and by posting their crap on blogs.
  • Governments that waste our money and pass it out to anyone but the people who gave it to them. We can give it away to countries that hate us and to businesses that use us, but we cannot give it to the homeless and those losing their homes, and that kind of stinks doesn’t it. I am going to become a thorn in their side. They think I am stupid and will accept anything, wrong. I am already praying for the American Federal Government, the Texas State Government, and the Corpus Christi City Government. How about this prayer, “Dear Father, I am your son through Jesus Christ and I do not agree with many in my current governments. Please if they support homosexual rights, abortions, removing God from anything public, and deny America is one Nation Under the Christian God, then remove them individually or collectively from office and may they know that it was my prayer that helped this to happen”.
  • Governments who do what they want and think they do not answer to anyone. This starts with the local government. For instance, we had some bond money elections and the time was running out to use that money before the more recent bond elections. So they hurried and did the work that was supposed to be done and basically wasted the money because the work they hurriedly performed, did not last a year. But I had better pay my taxes so they can do this again, right. I am going to start reminding them who they work for and I should get more involved locally. Can you do that without any money?
  • Holiday buying. I am sick of the commercialization of every holiday and I am really fed up with what has been done to Christmas. It really does not matter if Christ is in the Christmas; we left Christ out of Christmas long before all of this crap started. So, I will not fall for anymore of the hype about gifts on any Holiday. If it is not from my heart, then who wants it anyway. And for Christ in Christmas, I will put Him back in my Christmas and go from there. If God wants me to throw out the tree and the traditions, then His will be done!
  • Fake Churches and Fake Preachers. How do we deal with this and not offend the real ones? I guess maybe the real ones would not get offended because they know they are the true bride. Yes the true bride may need some freshening up and some wakening up, but at least they still know what holiness and separation means. So, what if I stay away from the fakes and try to help those caught up in the fakes, you know that is a good idea. Who would have thought my own back yard has a mission field amongst people who claim to be Christians.

  

  1. Second, I am going to be more like Jesus and less like a pious hypocrite. I will try to remember to not use the excuses most Christians are so proud to use today. Let me see what could they be? Maybe they should be put into a top ten list because I think I can come up with ten, here is my list. You see, it is my list because I am guilty of using all of them in the past and some even now:

            10. I am just young and enjoying life.

              9. We have always done it that way.

              8. I go to church

              7. Jesus drank wine

              6. I am a Christian but…

              5. I give to God

              4. God has not called me

              3. I can’t quit everything

              2. One day I will…

              1. I will have to pray about it!

 

This is a beginning point. Sure, I could have added prayer as the third thing, and continued with many more. But, it comes down to this, if we are saddened by our Nations godless position, if we are fearful of God’s wrath coming our way, if we are sick and tired of the devil having his way being the bully, kicking sand in our faces, then we had better wake up, get our thumbs out of our mouth, and wash the sand out of our eyes. We have, the only God as our Father, the only Savior as our King and friend, and the only Holy Spirit that gives us guidance and the power to kick the sand back at the bully. 

God, I know it is time we accept our position with you and make you proud, even if we are misunderstood among our own families and friends. If we do not do it, then who will? It seems that no one is stepping forward, I guess you want me! And brother and sister in Christ, the me, may very well mean you. 

Enough of this crap! Onward Christian Soldiers, rise to the occasion, and step up into the gap, amen and amen.
